Every week on Facebook I see a new post of another member asking if such and such site is legit.

And every.single.time it's a resounding NO.

There are several clues you can look for that will tell that the site is not legit:

The Cricut machine is priced under $100

This is by far the biggest clue. The MSRP of a Cricut machine is anywhere between $159.99 to $399.99, depending on which machine you get.

You will NEVER find a Cricut machine for under $100, even during Black Friday.

The website has the word 'Cricut' in the domain name

This is yet another clue that the site is not real. A lot of scammers use the word Cricut in their domain name to try and trick people into believing that the deal is real or even from Cricut themselves.

So unless the deal is coming directly from Cricut.com or a reputable retailer or well-known craft store, it is most likely fake.

The price is formated in a non-standard format

Scammers will often photoshop price tags of sale tags from a legitimate retailer in order to trick you into believing it's real.

If they do not include both digits after the decimal, you can bet it's fake.

The overarching lesson here is: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
