I finally conquered my crafting fear 🎉

Hi

Have you ever had a crafting tool sitting in the box for months—or even years—because you were too nervous to try it? I know the feeling because that was me with my heat press. For two years, it just sat there collecting dust.

But last night, I finally took the plunge. And guess what? I used it to add my kids’ names to their Christmas stockings, and they turned out absolutely adorable!

I had every excuse for not using it. I didn’t know the time or temperature to press the HTV. I wasn’t sure if I needed special tools (the HTV I used didn’t even have a carrier sheet!). Plus, I was worried about wasting materials or ruining the stockings altogether.

But as the holidays approach, I realized I couldn’t let my fear hold me back anymore. So I did something simple: I asked ChatGPT for help, did a bit of research, and decided that even if I messed up, I could fix it and try again.

And you know what? The stockings turned out better than I ever imagined. Seeing my kids’ faces light up when they saw their names made every moment of trial and error worth it. I’m still beaming with pride!

If you’ve been putting off using your Cricut, heat press, or any crafting tool because you’re afraid to mess up, here’s my advice:

  • Start small.
  • Research the areas you feel stuck on.
  • Be okay with not getting it perfect on the first try.

You’ll never know what you’re capable of until you take that first step. And believe me, it’s worth it.

I’m feeling so inspired that I can’t wait to try sublimation next. Who knows—maybe that’ll be the next email I send you! 😉

Happy Crafting,
